25 Delicious Protein Packed Vegetarian Grilling Ideas

· · · ·

This post is brought to you by Adidas, but opinions expressed are 100% my own.

These amazing vegetarian grilling ideas will have you drooling!

If you are a vegetarian then you probably find yourself a  little bit out of sorts at BBQs. Everyone’s all excited about the meat coming off the grill and you find yourself scavenging through the side dishes in hopes that there are salads without bacon or other bits of hidden meat. The struggle is real!

As a vegetarian myself it can be tricky to find enough to eat at a BBQ and not draw attention to the fact that I am not eating the meat. I try to not make a big deal out of it because #1, BBQs are not a place to argue your point of view about not eating meat and #2, I do not want to insult the host or hostess who worked hard to put together the BBQ in the first place.

So I decided to do a bit of research and come up with 25 recipes that are loaded with protein and will be just as filling and delightful as any burger or steak. {In my humble vegetarian opinion.}

Vegetarian Burger Options

Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burgers are my personal favorite for a quick fix! They taste amazing off the grill! I sometimes will pack my own and throw it on the grill, especially with my friends who know me quite well and are used to my vegetarian ways.

Grilling and embracing your vegetarian side doesn’t have to be bland and boring! Heck, even if you want to commit to a meatless Monday grill day these are all clear winners that will have you savoring every bite. Just remember you do not need meat to get all the important protein your body needs to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Yes, protein is so important and I am a BIG proponent of making sure you are getting enough. But there are countless and more creative ways to get enough without depending solely on meat.

So grab your vegetarian burger, seitan, or tofu and/or any other litany of protein packed veggies and get grilling friends!

Making up some of my favorite veggie burgers for a quick dinner! P.S. Burgers taste so good on a charcoal grill – just saying!
