Apple Pie Protein Shake
Shake it Up Saturday!
Whether I like it or not Fall is around the corner…I’m not a fan of the cold, but I am a fan of boots and sweaters and all the fun fall fashions. So I ‘m excited about that! (Isn’t there always some type of silver lining). To help get me in the mood for the impending change of temperatures I cooked up an Apple Pie Protein Shake this week… This shake has all the goodness and comfort of its namesake but without all the guilt and calories. So cozy up to this shake after a run out in the increasingly cold weather. I’m such a pansy I’m not sure how much longer I can stand running outside. Soon it will be back to treadmill running until spring… I’ll savor them while I can!
Apple Pie Protein Shake

1 Apple Steamed in microwave with 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Square reduced fat graham cracker
1 tsp apple pie or pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp sugar free vanilla powdered coffee creamer
8-10 ice cubes
To steam apple cut in to small bite size pieces and top with cinnamon and honey, cover with saran wrap and microwave for 2 minutes at 70% power… continue for 30 sec intervals if apples are not tender. I know this one takes a little bit more work than some of my others but it is pretty fantastic and worth the extra effort! Just Sayn’…Enjoy!! What is your favorite thing about the fall?!
