My Gym Bag Essentials!

This post is sponsored by adidas, all opinions are my own.

This month I turned 40. Not sure how that happened exactly but here I am in all my glory now 40 years young. (sounds better ????)

Last year I wrote an entire post about my last year in my thirties and all I wanted to accomplish – number one on that list, was to run a marathon. So here I am a year later and I am well into my marathon training with the big day coming up on September 14th! I am both excited and terrified.

Each week that I train, I run more and more miles. And with each mile, I am learning what helps me to keep me running.

It all boils down to having the right tools.

So this week I thought it would be fun to share with y’all my current gym bag and running essentials!

In no particular order – these are my current must-haves:

adidas Running Hat: For the longest time I hated running with a hat – Then my aesthetician got all kinds of mad at me when she found out I ran without one. So from that moment on, I follow her advice and bust out my hat to protect my face from the sun. Age spots are no joke – friends!

Blender Bottle: I love my blender bottles I have an obscene amount of them. They are perfect for throwing my BCAA’s, collagen, and essential oils in – mixing them up and having my post-run cocktail all ready to go when I get back from my run.

Sun Block: Back to the hat paragraph protecting your face and skin is #1 when it comes to spending any amount of time outdoors! This elta MD® brand is safe for faces!

Now Sports BCAAs: Branch Chain Amino Acids are so important to drink after any workout but in particular a taxing run!

adidas Solar Ride Shoes: The Solar Ride is designed for distance, and it includes a few key technologies to keep your feet happy as the mile count grows. You’ll get the usual springy Boost midsole and Continental rubber outsole for good cushioning and traction, but this shoe also comes with a Solar Propulsion Rail—a support feature that guides your foot and keeps it in place as you run. That means you’ll get a little extra help with your form when you start to get tired.

BodyGlide for HER– This stuff helps stop chaffing before it starts – I seriously don’t know what I would do without it! I put it everywhere – that I may chaff.

adidas Don’t Rest Bra – There are a couple of reasons why I love this sports bra – #1 it is super supportive #2 The pads stay put when I wash it! – Really at the end of the day that is the MOST important thing right! I hate sports bras where I need to spend loads of time putting pads back in after I wash them ????

Dr Scholl’s Mole Skin – After running any amount of miles blisters are bound to happen and these really help!

These are my new “go tos” when it comes to helping me to keep training and pushing myself!

What are some of your gym bag essentials?
