Savory Baked Pork Chops

·

Whip it Up Wednesday!!

Part of my adjustment to small town living has been the introduction to the ability to buy a whole animal and have it butchered and prepared for you. It’s kinda awesome!! You’re able to work directly with the farmer and know that the animal is not being given any hormones and know what type of diet they were given and that they were treated humanely. At first I have to admit the thought kinda of grossed me out a bit. My husband had to talk me into it. I was used to going to the grocery store and getting my neatly wrapped packages totally ignorant and divorced from the whole scenario. So for a couple a years now we have bought a cow and a pig every other year to put in our freezer for our food storage. This past year I got a lot of pork chops from our little piggie ok BIG piggie! So I have been on the look out for some great recipes I stumbled upon this one a couple months back and it was a huge hit in our casa!! The kids loved it!! My husband gave it the coveted “Make Again” nod of approval.
