52 Weeks of Protein Shakes… Week 2
Peartastic-Raspberry Protein Shake!!! This screams summer refreshment!! Perfect for after a hard workout!! {andiethueson.com}

A couple years ago Kelly and I tried our hand at jam making, we made a pear raspberry jam that was a super secret recipe from one of Kelly’s cousins that had been passed down from her mother, down from her mother… Well anyways you get the idea. After buying two flats of raspberries and a huge box of pears we ended up with over 40 pint size jars of jam. It was A LOT of work!!! The stuff was amazing and at first we gave out our jars to friends and neighbors freely, but then as our supply dwindled we got more and more greedy (borderline hoarders) with our jam. It was a sad day when the last jar was licked clean. I know what you’re thinking, why didn’t we just make more…. Didn’t you see my note above that it was  A LOT of work?!? Hopefully one of these days Kelly and I will work up the courage to attempt it again…. On a side note we are also working really hard to eat clean and healthy… so who needs that kind of serious temptation around.
Totally changing gears…The other day my Mom brought over a bucket of raspberries that she had picked, they were sooo good!! There is nothing like freshly picked berries! Store bought ones just don’t even compare! So as I was nibbling on the berry goodness and I thought back to “the jam” and thought I would use the flavors to inspire my Shake of the Week! So with that I proudly present my “Peartastic Raspberry Protein Shake”
