Sprint Training
This post is brought to you by Mizuno Running but opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Sprint Training.
Don’t be scared!! Before you bounce stick with me and hear me out!!
If you haven’t tried Sprints yet, they are a cheap and super effective way to blast fat and burn a ton of calories!
By getting your heart rate beating and putting all out effort for short bursts of energy with a little recovery between rounds you can maximize your efforts in a relatively short amount of time!
The concept behind sprinting is simple: Sprint as hard as you can for a few seconds, recover just long enough to recover somewhat, and repeat.Sprints spike your metabolism and help build muscle quickly. And unlike those long boring treadmill sessions, Sprints burn calories both during a workout and (here’s the rock star part) for up to 24 hours afterward!! Sprints are brutal, but on the upside you’re done quickly. You’ll be done with the whole thing in thirty sweat-filled (and probably swear-filled) minutes.

To maximize your sprint training, you’ll need some good running shoes {A Necessity!}.
I LOVE the new Mizuno Wave Rider 20. They are super comfortable and allow for great grip on the road and have a good cushioning for your foot fall. I honestly feel like I am landing on a little pillow with each step. Pure heaven! And let’s just add in the fact that they are actually a good looking running shoe!
I always recommend that new runners go and get a review of their running gait at a shoe store that specializes in running. This will help you to know if you need a show to help compensate if you tend to pronate {a fancy way of saying that most of your weight is on the inside edge of your feet} when you run. – The Mizuno Wave Rider 20 is a fantastic neutral shoe that is perfect for those who do not tend to pronate and have neutral gait.
Having the right shoe will help you so that when you are pushing yourself to the limit sprinting, at least your feet won’t be killing you, by the time you’re done 😉
So don’t be afraid of sprints!! They can really help you to burn more fat in a quick and efficient manner! Give em a try and let me know what you think!
