Think of it as your soul’s North Star—the energetic theme you’re meant to embody and express throughout your life.
What Is an Incarnation Cross?
Your Incarnation Cross is a key feature of your Human Design chart, created from the four most influential gates: your Personality Sun, Personality Earth, Design Sun, and Design Earth. These gates are your energetic anchors, shaping the flavor of your mission here on Earth. If you love astrology, think of these as your “Big Four,” similar to your Sun, Moon, and Rising in your natal chart.
Your Personality Sun (conscious) accounts for 70% of your Incarnation Cross’s energy. It represents your life’s purpose and your main gift to the world. Personality Earth is what grounds you. Your Design Sun (subconscious) is your hidden driver, and your Design Earth offers stability for your body and soul.
You can find your Incarnation Cross by pulling your Human Design chart. Once you’ve got your chart, look at the top two gates on each side. Together, these gates form one of 192 named Incarnation Crosses, each with its unique energy signature.
The Three Types of Incarnation Crosses
Your Cross also reveals your karmic orientation in this lifetime:
- Right Angle Crosses are all about self-focused karma. You’re here to grow, learn, and evolve on a personal level. Your journey is your own.
