Scorpio Season: Trust The Magic of Letting Go
There’s something electric in the air right now. Picture leaves tumbling, the dusk deepening, a slow whisper of transformation in the wind. We’re stepping into Scorpio Season, and this one is unlike any ordinary chapter in your year. It’s the time of descent into the depths, the surge of intuition, the purge of what no longer serves, and that glorious emergence of a new version of you.
In this post, I’m going to hold space with you for what Scorpio season actually means, how it’s playing out on the collective and in your body, and the tools via embodiment, human design, and ritual that you can use to ride the wave. Bring your journal. Bring your nervous system. Bring your curiosity. And yes, maybe cue Season of the Witch in the background, it feels that way.

What is Scorpio Season and Why Does It Matter?
Scorpio season officially kicks off when the Sun moves into Scorpio, typically around October 22, and lasts until approximately November 21 (dates vary slightly by year and time zone).
Scorpio is a fixed water sign, fixed because it represents the midpoint of autumn when things aren’t just beginning (that was Libra) but are in the process of ending, shifting, deepening; water because it’s about depth, emotion, intuition, what’s beneath the surface. The symbolism fits nature: leaves fall, trees let go so that rebirth can happen later.
In simpler terms: this is the season of transformation, of emotional clearing, of power dynamics becoming visible, of things dying so something new can be born.
For me, as someone with a Scorpio moon and strong Scorpio placements, this is my time. But whether you’re a Scorpio Sun, Rising, or you simply feel the energy, this is your invitation to lean in.
The Energetic Signature: What Scorpio Really Asks
Let’s break down the core themes of Scorpio and how they show up for you:
- Death & Rebirth: That doesn’t always mean literal death; it means endings, letting go, clearing out space. If we hold on too tightly, new energy can’t come in.
- Truth & Shadow Work: Scorpio doesn’t like superficial. It asks: What am I hiding? What am I avoiding? It asks you to stare into the undercurrents of your psyche.
- Emotional Depth & Intuition: As a water sign, Scorpio thrives in what’s beneath the surface, the unspoken, the energetic undercurrent, the what-is-not-said.
- Power & Control Dynamics: Where are you holding control? Where are you avoiding vulnerability? Scorpio pulls both ends of that spectrum into the light.
- Transformation & Empowerment: Ultimately, Scorpio wants you to claim your power, authentic power, not ego power, but the power that comes when you have faced your shadow and emerged.
Yes, it can be intense. Yes, you may feel quieter, more introspective. Yes, social obligations may feel heavy, and that’s okay. This season invites the loner moments, the deep dives, the sacred pausing.
The Human Design Gates We’re Moving Through
Okay, I geek out on Human Design, and I love how during Scorpio season, certain HD gates activate. If you have Human Design in your toolbox, this will light you up. If not, you can still lean into the themes.
Here are the gates we’re working with:
- Gate 28: Fear of time running out. This gate invites a question: What am I afraid I won’t have time for? And it flips to its gift: intuitive timing and reading cycles.
- Gate 44: Fear of the past repeating itself. Here, our awareness opens: What patterns haunt me? The gift is seeing trends, being ahead of the curve.
- Gate 1: Creation for the sake of self-expression. Newness, big ideas, stepping into something you haven’t done before.
- Gate 43: Unique opinions & insights. Suddenly, the world opens and you go “Huh. Why didn’t I see this this way?” You might have aha moments.
- Gate 14: Amplifying what’s good in others. A powerful gate for coaches/leaders: seeing the gifts in others. In this transit, the more we do this, the more blessing comes back.
Even if you don’t know your design, you will feel these currents. Notice where timing is a theme. Notice where cycles repeat. Notice the urge to create something new. Notice surprising clarity or insights.
Embodiment Practices: Move the Energy, Don’t Just Think It
Scorpio energy isn’t just cerebral. It lives in the body, in the nervous system, in emotions that must move. So here are embodied tools I recommend:
- Somatic shadow work: breathwork, body scans, shaking (yes—just shake!) to release stuck energy.
- Water rituals: water is Scorpio’s element. Baths, river walks, cleansing showers, use them symbolically to wash away what’s served its time.
- Journaling with depth: ask yourself the big questions (see below) and really answer them. Don’t skim.
- Movement to let it out: anger, grief, frustration, they want release. Box, dance, prune the garden, let the body say what the mind can’t.
- Honest conversations: Scorpio hates shallow. This is a great season for truth-talk, but also for forgiveness and letting go of shame/secrets.
- Sound healing + long walks: your nervous system might want both stillness and movement. Use both.
- Burn-and-bury release ritual: symbolically write what you’re ready to let go, then safely burn or bury it (outdoors, safely!) to mark the letting-go.
Journal Prompts to Anchor the Season
- Where am I afraid to feel?
- Where am I ready to reclaim my power?
- What needs to die so something stronger, truer can be born?
- How is my relationship with time functioning?
- What patterns keep repeating in my life and why?
- What new idea wants to be birthed?
- What gifts do I see in someone else that I struggle to see in myself?
Rising Sign & House Activations: Where the Magic Lands for You
One of the coolest things about Scorpio season is depending on your rising sign, the house that’s getting activated is different. Here’s how it breaks down: (Not sure of your rising sign, head to astro.com to run your astrology natal chart.)
- Aries Rising → 8th house: deep intimacy, shared resources, releasing control.
- Taurus Rising → 7th house: soul-level relationships, trust, merging with independence.
- Gemini Rising → 6th house: health, emotional regulation, day-to-day work habits.
- Cancer Rising → 5th house: creativity, romance, reclaiming joy through vulnerability.
- Leo Rising → 4th house: home, family, generational healing, ancestral roots.
- Virgo Rising → 3rd house: communication, mindset, truth-telling in your immediate world.
- Libra Rising → 2nd house: self-worth, money story, reallocating your value and resources.
- Scorpio Rising → 1st house: personal rebirth, soul alignment, new self-expression.
- Sagittarius Rising → 12th house: inner world, subconscious, emotional reset, things you haven’t wanted to see.
- Capricorn Rising → 11th house: community, belonging, collective power dynamics.
- Aquarius Rising → 10th house: career transformation, standing in authentic leadership.
- Pisces Rising → 9th house: expansion, truth‐seeking, higher learning, surrendering to growth.
Wherever your house lives focus there, that’s your Scorpio “entry point” for this season’s work.
Practical Rituals & Integration for Scorpio Season
Let’s pull it into action: how do you work with this season in day-to-day life?
- Set an intention for the season: What one thing am I ready to let go? What one new version of me wants to emerge?
- Weekly check-in: Mid-season, journal: What patterns are repeating? How is my body feeling? What intuitive nudge is showing up?
- Nervous system reset: On a quiet evening, do a body scan or bath, then soft journaling. Let your system integrate the deeper work.
- Social strategy: Scorpio energy may push you inward, less social, more sacred. It’s okay to say “no” to one thing so you can say “yes” to deeper things.
- Trust the intuitive nudges: If your body or design is saying “now,” act. That may be a pivot, a creation, a release.
- Community check: Identify one person in your circle whose gifts you deeply admire tell them. You amplify their good. You also mirror your own.
- Celebrate softness with intensity: While we’re deep diving, let’s also allow lightness. Create a playlist. Dance. Use laughter as an alchemy tool.
My Personal Layer (Because I’m In This With You)
As a Scorpio moon in the 12th house, this season always hits for me. Every year, I’m peeling another layer of the onion. Maybe last year, I wasn’t ready to let go of that control mechanism. This year, I’m ready to bury it. When I say “trust,” I mean it: trust the rush of intuition when the gate opens. When I say “release,” I mean it: let those leaves fall.
It’s not about suffering. It’s about sovereignty. It’s about standing up in your power, authentic power, soft power, and not being afraid of the depths. Because what’s down below is where the healing lives. And when we heal there, we emerge stronger, clearer, more aligned.
Final Invitation For Scorpio Season
So here’s my ask: don’t rush this Scorpio season. Don’t try and skip to the “rebirth” before the “letting go.” Sit in the intensity. Let it stir you. Let it move you. Let it mess with you. And then choose your next version. Choose it. Name it. Walk toward it.
If you feel stuck: reach out. I’m here. Whether you want a one-on-one session in coaching, or you want to just share a breakthrough, or you don’t even know your human design… I’ve got you. We’ll look at the shadows together and clear the path for your next move.
Much love. The leaves are falling. Let them. Trust your intuition. Light your own internal flame. Rise from the ashes.
Until next time,
Andie
